I wanted to break down the process to make one sheet of 4 Ear Savers. 8 Prints without removing them from the build plate, just changing color and running a new file at non-zero base height. First is to obviously make the files and load them onto the SD card clearly labeled and organized.

  1. A bed of white that’s .3mm thick at the top and middle, but .9mm tall at the bottom

  2. Run black to make the middle line starting at a height of .3mm to not print in the same space as the white for a height of .3mm around the middle and .6mm at the top of the ultra ball so it reaches a height of .9mm when finished

  3. Load it with purple and run the top of the Master ball starting at .3mm and .6mm thick. I chose purple first so the nozzle would not be crossing over more ear savers that were finished below it.

  4. Run blue for the top of the Great Ball again at .3mm. This must be done before Red as the top of the Poke Ball and the fins of the Great Ball are in the same file.

  5. Swapping to red. Runs at a height of .3. Since the fins of the Great Ball are given their desired height in the slicing program, I didn’t need to adjust the Z height between printing Poke Ball and the fins.

  6. Print the yellow Ultra Ball Rectangles at .9mm

  7. Print the pink Master Ball bulbs also at .9mm

  8. Load in white one last time to print the button on the front of the balls.
