$14.00

Purchase will contain 10 WeMakeThings3D branded Ear Saver. Options are available for putting your own logo or name on the saver for an additional fee.

An Ear Saver is a tool that keeps the strings of one size fits all paper masks off the back of the wearer’s ears. It is adjustable, flexible, light weight, and ecofriendly. 3D Printed with PLA plastic, it is sourced from vegetables and natural dyes. They can be worn by toddlers to elders by using the adjustable hooks. If your fitted hat size is 8 or above, you may need an XL version which is 1 inch longer. The Ear Saver will help form a tighter fit around the top, bottom, and sides of the mask but it should not be uncomfortably pressed into the face. Nail polish, followed by a clear coat, can be used to make each one unique: from flowers to superheroes, the size’s the limit.

PLA won’t be negatively affected by soap, water, or hand sanitizer. Simply wet, apply soap, rinse, and use the hole or slots to hang dry. If cleaning in bulk, run a string through any of the provided holes, dunk in a basin of soapy water, and scrub with a sponge or brush. Remove by pulling the two ends of the string up, rinse with running water, and then hang the strung Ear Savers to air dry.

If you have found yourself touching a contaminated surface and then touching your Ear Saver, you’ll want to disinfect it. Move the strings from the hooks back to the ears to remove the Ear Saver. Apply sanitizer to your hands and rub both sides thoroughly using fingers to get sanitizer into holes and slots. When dry, replace on the back of your head. Sanitizer will not discolor or erode Ear Savers. Avoid acetone as that will melt the Ear Saver.
